Silence was broken by hoofbeats thumping the earth as a glint of morning gold splashed the face of the Tetons. Perhaps no place on earth was as American West at that moment. (2017)

A day-long streak of cloudy skies was abruptly halted when the sun found an opening in the storm clouds over Sedona. Iconic Cathedral Rock revealed her the glory of her color and character for a brief moments before darkness returned and the day came to a close.  (2017)

As the rising sun beamed its golden light on the distant peaks, stillness was as evident as the colors of the sky. For a few moments all of Arizona was gloriously on display – towering aged cactus, rugged terrain, and a classic sunrise that deepened the mysteries of the immortal desert.   (2018)

On this particular morning conditions went from near darkness to obscured fog in the span of 30 minutes. Veiled by both, this bull moose emerged like a mystical spirit of the mountains – visible for a few hundred yards only to vanish into the fog the same as he appeared.  (2020)
