All of nature seemed in harmony when an early rut season meeting brought these two moose together in the Wyoming wilderness. (2020)

Wild animals have adapted in amazing ways to survival in their environment. Instinct is ever-present, and the job of surveying surroundings is a full time job. This moose takes in a huff of air to analyze his pursuit for food, presence of other moose in his community, and any other intel the natural world is offering. (2020)

Among the wilderness, traces of the pure West remain. They unfold in rare living scenes unspoiled by man's influence. Cued by the rising sun, this bull moose relocated to feeding ground under the canopy of river bank cottonwoods in the heart of his majestic homeland. (2021)

This bull moose has made the banks of Wyoming's Gros Ventre river home for many years. Fog and early light bled through the sheltering cottonwood trees creating a unique scene in his majestic kingdom. (2023)

The silence of sunset was broken as this bull moose rustled his way through the spiny sage. His measured gate provided a rhythmic soundtrack to a glorious day's end. (2021)

Like blooming flowers of Spring or turning leaves of fall, nature’s patterns unfold in the alters of moose. In late summer they shed the fleshy velvet that provides nutrients necessary for to grown and maintain a new set of antlers every year. This short-lived lasting just a few days a year is seen here as this bull stands stoically among the approaching days of fall. (2025)

On this particular morning conditions went from near darkness to obscured fog in the span of 30 minutes. Veiled by both, this bull moose emerged like a mystical spirit of the mountains – visible for a few hundred yards only to vanish into the fog the same as he appeared. (2020)
